1
Purchase a quality diffuser from a beauty supply store. It is worth the extra money: in the long run, a cheap diffuser may break sooner, costing you more money.
-
2
Wash and condition your hair with a quality conditioner. Without rubbing the hair, gently squeeze out excess water with a towel. With a wide tooth comb, comb out any knots.

3
Apply straightening product to your hair by gently rubbing it into your palms first, and then throughout your entire head in a few sections. Be sure to cover all of your hair.
-
4
Attach the diffuser to the end of the blow dryer. With the dryer an inch away from your roots, wrap the hair around the round brush pulling the hair taut. Slowly move the dryer following the brush down the hair shaft, as you release the hair from the brush. Then repeat with a paddle brush without wrapping the hair, and brush downward. Work with one inch sections, one at a time, pinning up the rest of the hair. This can be a slow process so if some of the pinned up hair begins to dry, comb water through it just before you take it down.

When all of the hair is dry, run your fingers through it instead of brushing it. Apply a dime-sized amount of anti-frizz product by first rubbing it in your palms, and then smoothing it onto your hair in the same one inch sections from root to tip.

Pump a few squirts of shine-enhancing spray for added shine. You may also add a slight spritz of regular hold hairspray, if desired, to hold the style.

Tips & Warnings
Do not let any of your hair dry on its own. It will frizz or curl depending on your hair's texture.
