  1. Step 1

Log in to Today.com. There is a "sign in" button on the top right of the header.

  2. Step 2

Move to the "My Account" screen. Click "VIP Statistics" under "VIP Blogs."

  3. Step 3

Click the second tab, which says "traffic stats."

  4. Step 4

Change the type of report and the dates you want to view in the top window. For daily traffic, your report should be for "visits."

  5. Step 5

Below you will see the number of unique visits, total visits, earnings, and the applicable promotion for each date.

  6. Step 6

Click the "pages" link to see which pages on your blog people most frequently viewed.

  7. Step 7

Click the "referrers" link to see where people came from (what page they were on when they clicked a link to your site). Referring links can tell you what sites are best for promoting your site. Entrecard.com, for instance, often has a large number of hits.

  8. Step 8

Click the "searches" link to see what people searched for in any search engine (Google, Yahoo!, etc.) to find your blog.

Tips & Warnings
  • Check your traffic often to keep track of the popularity of your blog.
  • Check the "searches" link to find suggestions for popular keywords. Use these often in your blog.
  • Check out referring links that are unfamiliar. You may find another blog or website that references what you've written.
  • Beware of spam. If you find a referring link you don't know, know that spammers can be attempting to profit from your blog's popularity by frequenting and commenting on your blog.
