Success in school requires organization. Oftentimes, a student's class grade is based on assignments that are completed at home. Teachers usually check to see if assignments are completed properly and on time. The following tips will help to keep track of all those school assignments.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Create an assignment notebook. Assignment notebooks can help you track your school assignments. On each page of the notebook, write the date. Under each date, write the class, the assignment and the due date of the assignment. As you complete each assignment, check it off. School assignment notebooks can also be purchased from stores such as Staples.

  2. Step 2

Purchase two-pocket folders for each class. Label one side of the pocket "To Do" and the other side "Completed." At the end of each class, place any assignments that need to be completed in the "To Do" pocket. As you complete the assignment, transfer it to the "Completed" side.

  3. Step 3

Purchase a small calendar. One that fits in your school bag would work great. Write due dates of assignments on the calendar. As you complete each assignment, cross it off.

  4. Step 4

Have a set place to do homework. Place an "in" box and "out" box on your workspace. Place assignments that need to be completed in the "in" box and place assignments that are finished in the "out" box. Be sure to pack your bag when you are done working and include all items in the “out" box.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't wait until the last-minute to complete school assignments. Rushing through assignments is a bad habit to start.
