How to Blow Dry Hair With a Diffuser

Every time you blow dry your hair it ends up looking frizzy. Maybe your hair stylist keeps telling you that you should use a diffuser, but you have yet to give it a try. Blow drying your hair with a diffuser can be easy following a few steps.

Things You'll Need

• Qulaity diffuser
• Anti-frizz product
• Boar bristle paddle brush(for straight looks)

Instructions

1. Search for a quality diffuser from a beauty supply store. You may save money on a generic brand, but your hair will definitely not look as shiny and the diffuser will not last as long. You will only end up spending more money in the future.

2. Attach the diffuser to the end of your blow dryer. Be sure it is secure and completely covering up the air stream. Any undiffused air may cause your hair to frizz.

3. Flip your head upside down. Holding the dryer about an inch away from your head, briefly blow dry the hair, running your fingers through the hair as you go. Dry just enough to remove excess water.

4. Gently rub a dime-sized amount of anti-frizz styling product between your palms,. Apply it to your hair from tip to root. your hair by aiming the diffuser about 1/2-inch away from the top of your head and down the hair shaft, simultaneously pulling your hair taut with a boar bristle paddle brush for a straight look, or scrunching the hair up into your palms for a more relaxed wavy look.

5. When the hair is dry, finish with more product. You have many options for styling at this point, including smooth updos, loose waves, ponytails, or big curling iron curls. Using a diffuser not only takes away frizz, it protects your hair from damage.
