How to Apply Pakistani Light Party-Wear Makeup

Makeup is a complete art in itself, however, it is best used to enhance ones features and not to modify the entire face. This makeup tutorial is designed, keeping in view the complexion and skin texture of the Pakistani women. Since their skin is on the wheatish tone, it is best to use colors that enlighten the complexion.

Things You'll Need

  • Cleansing milk
  • TV paint stick
  • Soft, round sponge
  • Loose translucent powder
  • Eye shades
  • Highlighting shimmer
  • Kajal or kohl pencil
  • Eye liner
  • Mascara
  • Blush
  • Matte lipstick
  • Lip liner
  • Gloss
  • Set of makeup brushes

    • 1

Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying the base. Smooth and clean skin ensures a perfect makeup finish. Spread the cleansing milk all over the face and neck, massaging in circular motion until the milk is nearly absorbed in the skin.

    • 2

Apply the TV stick lightly in patches all over your face and neck. Blend well; using the round sponge or your fingertips. Use a large round brush to dust translucent powder to set the base. Make sure not to use too much powder, as it will give you a cake-like effect.

    • 3

Apply pink eyeshadow all over the eye lid using a round, flat eye shadow applicator. Take a pointed applicator and apply pink eye shadow on the crease--slightly moving towards the eyebrows. Form a "V" shape at the corner of the eye.

    • 4

Use the wand of liquid eyeliner to apply on the top lash line, starting thin from the inner corner, turning into a slightly thicker line moving towards the outer corner of the eye. Let it dry, then apply a single coat of mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

    • 5

Use a nude shade of blush or eye shade with a contouring brush. Lightly contour the sides of the nose, on top of the eye brows, and just below the jaw line and chin. Apply blush just below the apples of the cheeks.

    • 6

Outline the lips with lip liner. Use a lip brush to fill in the lips with lipstick. Dot the gloss on top for a shimmery perfect pout.

Tips & Warnings

  • Kajal pencil tends to smear due to sweating, so apply some nude powder before applying the pencil.
  • Use natural tones of blush to enhance your complexion.
  • Go for brighter colors in winter and subtle colors in summer for a radiant look.
  • Remove makeup before going to bed to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
