How to Use an ISO File for PSP
Installing an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) file on your PSP is a simple task. An ISO file is an image of a disk. These images are not only used for PSP files, but for movies, games and music. Think of an ISO file as a zip file. Inside the file are all the scripts and files that are necessary to run the game.
Things You'll Need

- Computer with PSP USB Connector
- PowerISO

1
Use WinZip or WinRar to open your ISO download. Extract the ISO file to a preset folder. If the zip file did not contain a single ISO file, but multiple files, then you will need to create an ISO file.
-
2
Install PowerISO. Start the program and click the drop-down arrow on the "Add" button. This will allow you to choose files or folders.
-
-
3
Choose "Files" and search for your ISO folder. Inside the ISO folder, click and drag your mouse so that all the files are highlighted. Alternatively, click the first file to highlight it, and then hold down the "Ctrl" button and click each of the remaining files. Click "Add" to transfer the files to your ISO setup.
-
4
Click the "Save" button. Ensure that the file is being saved as .iso rather than .daa or any other file.
-
5
Plug the USB connector into your PC and your PSP.
-
6
Go to "My Computer." Your PSP will now show up as a hard drive.
-
7
Right-Click the ISO file for your game and choose "Copy." Open the PSP drive and create a folder called "ISO."
-
8
Open the ISO folder and right-click in the folder area. Choose paste and put the ISO file into the folder.
-
9
Close all windows and exit the USB mode on your PSP.
-
10
Navigate to the Gaming menu on your PSP and choose the "memory stick." Your ISO file should appear. Click "X" to load the game.

Tips & Warnings
Once these steps are completed, if your game does not load, you may have a bad ISO file. Repeat the steps, carefully, and try again to be sure. If no ISO file appears on your memory stick, enter USB mode again, connect to the PC and ensure that the file is in the proper folder. Follow the steps again if necessary.
