      Select Applications in a Finder window. Within Applications, select "Address Book" by double-clicking.

      Data Fields in Address Book

      Click the “+” button in the lower left-hand corner of Address Book to create a new entry. Fill out the information for the name, company and phone numbers of your contact. Checking the “Company” field in the address book entry will default your entry as a company, as opposed to a personal entry. You can use your tab key to tab through the entry fields. When you have finished entering all of the entry information, click the “Edit” button in the lower left-hand corner to lock your entry.

      Creating a New Address Book Entry Within Mail

      Add address book contacts directly from your email in Mac OS X Leopard without even opening the Address Book application. Find the address field in the email and hover over the address. You will see a triangle; click it and select “Create New Contact.” Once you’ve selected the new contact, the fields for the contact in the email will automatically be filled in. Add any extra fields you may need and click “Add to Address Book.” Your new contact will be added to your Address Book without opening your Address Book application.
