Things You'll Need

  • Composition book (hardcover)
  • Magazines
  • Scissors
  • Rubber cement or spray adhesive
  • Mod Podge

      Cut or tear words, pictures, items, quotes or other interesting visuals out of old magazines. Make sure you get a pile because you will use them!

      Use rubber cement or spray adhesive to glue the items onto each side of the journal. For an authentic look, cover both inside and outside covers.

      Once dry, take a small craft and a paint brush, dip it into the Mod Podge and apply to either both inner or both outer covers. Allow to dry, then apply Mod Podge to alternate covers.

      Allow to dry overnight.

      Write a message on the first page (if giving as a gift) and wrap with a ribbon, or start writing your little heart out!
