Happy Easter!

Easter is a holiday that for some celebrates the beginning of the spring time season. Decorating is at the top of the list, in particular adorning the easter table with something that is both bountiful as well as decorative.

From Quick Guide: Easter Decoration Basics
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bouquet of easter lilies
  • Scissors
  • 1 2-inch block of craft foam
  • Hot glue gun and glue stick
  • Large cornucopia
  • 12 decorated easter eggs
  • Easter candy
  • 4 assorted small faux feathered chicks with floral picks
  • Floral water tubers
  • Shredded pastel paper
  1. Step 1

Cut the craft foam with the scissors to form a tight fit into the bottom of the cornucopia. Apply hot glue to the bottom of the foam and insert into the bottom of the inside of the cornucopia.

  2. Step 2

Take the bouquet of easter lilies and trim the stems off until 1-inch of the stem remains below the flower.

  3. Step 3

Fill the floral tubers half full with water. Insert the lilies into the tubers.

  4. Step 4

Stick the tubers into the cornucopia and secure into the foam. Place them a few centimeters apart but make sure the design is symmetrical.

  5. Step 5

Fill in the gaps between the flowers with the easter eggs, peeps and the bunnies.

  6. Step 6

Place the shredded paper in between the gaps and have some of the paper flowing out of the cornucopia. Scatter some gumdrops around the cornucopia to appear as if it is overflowing. Stick the chicks in and around the outside and the inside of the cornucopia.

  7. Step 7

Center the cornucopia on the table to create a centerpiece.

Tips & Warnings
  • Switch the chicks for birds for a variation in the theme.
  • Interchange the lillie's for tulips or other types of spring flowers.
  • This cornucopia makes a great gift.
  • Implement sugar free candy if you have guests who are diabetic or are trying to reduce their sugar intake.
  • Encourage guests to munch on the items in the cornucopia.
