1
Choose your ribbon. Make sure to pick something that is doubled faced or double sided as you will be seeing both sides of the ribbon. Sheer decorative ribbon is popular for wrapping beautiful gifts. Also make sure the ribbon is 1 ½ to 2 inches wide. Thinner ribbon won't look as grand in scale as the wider ribbon.

2
Lay the ribbon out flat. Measure an 18-inch segment. Cut it off and set it aside. Start at one end of the remaining ribbon. Measure out a 6-inch chunk. Fold that section over, creating a very light crease.

Fold another 6-inch piece back against the first piece, so one end forms a loop. Hold the pieces in place with your thumb and forefinger of your less dominant hand. Continue to fold the entire length of ribbon in these 6-inch sections so there are several loops formed.
-
4
Cut a small piece of floral wire and loop it around the center of the ribbons. Secure the ends of the wire by twisting them together and flattening them as much as possible.
-
5
Tie a loose knot in the center of the second piece of ribbon (the 18-inch strip). Line the loose knot over the top of the center of the now wired loops. Wrap the ends of the ribbon around the back side of the looped center, then tie it onto your gift or present. Gently pull the loops out to the sides to spread them apart. You now have a beautiful loop bow.
