Instructions

    • 1
This is a good pattern for turkey feet.

Cut a small yellow triangle and two feet-shaped pieces out of the yellow felt. The triangle will be the beak. The feet can have pointy toes or curved ones, depending on how you want your turkey to look.

    • 2

Cut a wavy "worm" shape out of the red felt. It can be as short as 1 inch or as long as 3 inches. This will be the turkey's wattle.

    • 3

Cut a lollipop shape out of the brown felt. This will be your turkey's neck and head.

    • 4
Your turkey should be a felt version of this fellow.

Glue the google eye, the yellow beak and the red wattle to the round "head" of brown felt. The eye should go on the top half of the head. The beak should point to one side so that your turkey appears to have his head turned. The wattle goes directly under the beak.

    • 5

Glue the yellow feet to the back of the mum. Make sure they stick out from under the mum so that you can see at least the toes and the foot, if not the ankles.

    • 6

Glue the head of the turkey to front of the silk flower. You will need to press the felt firmly onto the flower petals until the glue becomes sticky. This may take a minute or two. Then, when you release the turkey's neck and head, they will adhere to the petals. Once everything is completely dry, your chrysanthemum turkey is ready to decorate anything you want to stick him to.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can turn your turkey into a pin by gluing a safety pin to the back of the flower, or into a refrigerator magnet by gluing a magnetic strip to the back.
