How to Make a Paper Pumpkin Purse Craft
A paper pumpkin purse is a great fall activity to do with children. You only need a few materials, and the kids will delight in have a place to carry their toys around. You can also use it as a place to hold candy while Trick or Treating.

Things You'll Need
- 2 paper plates
- Orange paint
- Black felt
- Scissors
- Black yarn or ribbon
- Glue or staples

Take a paper plate and cut it in half. (We’ll call this Plate A.)

Take a second paper plate and paint both sides orange (Plate B). Also paint both sides of Plate A orange.

Glue Plate A to the bottom half of Plate B. Leave the top portion of Plate A unglued—this will serve as the pocket of the purse.

Punch holes in the top of Plate B. Thread the ribbon through the holes and tie a knot at each end. This will be the strap of the purse.

Cut the black felt into three triangles and glue two on top of Plate A and one below them, so they look like eyes and a nose.

Tips & Warnings
If you don’t want to use glue because it can be messy with very young children, you can staple the plates together instead.
You can also use black yarn instead of ribbon as the purse strap.
