    Things You'll Need

    • 2 paper plates
    • Orange paint
    • Black felt
    • Scissors
    • Black yarn or ribbon
    • Glue or staples
      • 1

Take a paper plate and cut it in half. (We’ll call this Plate A.)

      • 2

Take a second paper plate and paint both sides orange (Plate B). Also paint both sides of Plate A orange.

      • 3

Glue Plate A to the bottom half of Plate B. Leave the top portion of Plate A unglued—this will serve as the pocket of the purse.

      • 4

Punch holes in the top of Plate B. Thread the ribbon through the holes and tie a knot at each end. This will be the strap of the purse.

      • 5

Cut the black felt into three triangles and glue two on top of Plate A and one below them, so they look like eyes and a nose.

    Tips & Warnings

    • If you don’t want to use glue because it can be messy with very young children, you can staple the plates together instead.

    • You can also use black yarn instead of ribbon as the purse strap.
