Step 2
Deal three cards face down to each player and two cards face up. Each player may look at his or her own face-down cards after paying an ante into the pot.
-
Step 3
Conduct the first wagering round. This round is started by the player sitting to the left of the dealer.
-
Step 4
Deal the first of two community cards face up into the center of the table. Conduct a second round of wagering, started by the player with the best face-up poker hand.
-
Step 5
Allow each player to discard up to two cards from his or her own hand. If a player chooses to discard a face-down card, it must be replaced with a face-down card. Likewise, if a player discards a face-up card, it must be replaced by a face-up card. Conduct the third round of wagering, which is started by the player with the best face-up poker hand.
-
Step 6
Flip over the second community card and conduct the fourth round of wagering. Start the wagering with the player that has the best face-up poker hand.
-
Step 7
Deal a face-up card onto the table, away from the two community cards. This card determines the wild card in the hand. This card itself is not wild, only the cards that match it. Conduct a final wagering round, which is once again started by the player with the best face-up poker hand.
-
Step 8
Reveal the cards and determine the winner. Each player that has not folded during the hand now reveals his cards and declares his poker hand. Each player can use any combination of his own five cards along with the two community cards to form his best poker hand. The best poker hand wins the entire pot.
