Begin your blog
-
1
Browse the site and be sure to check out their featured blogs on the home page. Consider whether you have the time to keep up a blog. The more time you have to dedicate to a blog, the more popular it can be. If you have questions, check the FAQ or click Contact Us.
-
2
Create a blog account. Click the "Create Account" button under the "01 Home" tab. You will be asked to fill out a form including the name of your new blog.

3
Choose a name. All blog names are in this format: BLOGNAME.today.com. Choose carefully and wisely. Consider your topic, audience and easy-to-remember names. If, for instance, you're writing a blog about things to do in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, names like "travel.today.com" or "OBNC.today.com" are not your best choices. The first is not specific and the second is too condensed. Consider "OuterBanks.today.com" or other variations like "TravelOuterBanks" or "VisitOuterBanks."

Explain why you want to write this blog. What expertise do you bring to the subject? Who is your audience? What kind of dialogue do you want to create? Blogs are all about discussion, so your readers should be able to contribute as much as you do. Though you should have a good knowledge of your topic, you'll want to leave room for many other thoughts and opinions.

6
Send your application for approval. The website stipulates it may take as long as 30 days, though it may only take a few.
-
7
Congratulations: You've started your own blog. Post once per day with at least 100 words to get paid at least $1 per post (plus revenue for your hits). Check your blog traffic often and don't forget to promote your blog. Good luck.

Tips & Warnings
Post every day.
Pay attention to your traffic, where people are coming from (Google, Facebook), and see if people are reaching your blog through a search. That means you're attracting the right audience.
Promote your blog on social networking sites and blog tool sites.
Be careful what you write in a blog. Anyone can find it, so it's not the place for workplace gossip, trade secrets, or anything else best kept secret.
