Instructions

    • 1

Lay your brown paper bag on a flat surface and paint the front of the bag black. You can mix in some glow in the dark paint or black glitter if you want to give your bat a fancier look.

    • 2

Draw the shape of two bat wings and two triangle bat ears on a piece of black construction paper with a white colored pencil.

    • 3

Cut out the bat ears and wings and glue them to the back of the paper bag so that the ears stick up from the top, and the wings stick out of the sides.

    • 4

Use a white colored pencil to draw an oval bat nose and two crown shaped bat feet onto the brown construction paper.

    • 5

Remove the two bat feet and bat nose from the brown construction paper with scissors. Glue them onto the front of the black paper bag. The feet should be glued on the bottom of the bag, with one on each side. The nose should sit right on the bottom of the flap of the paper bag.

    • 6

Cut out two circles for eyes and two triangles for teeth from the white construction paper and glue them onto the paper bag bat. The eyes should go above the nose, and the teeth should be glued underneath the flap of the paper bag located under the nose.

    • 7

Draw two dots for pupils inside the white eyes with a black marker.

    • 8

Display your paper bag around the house, use it as a treat bag, or let your child use it as a puppet. For more information on other Halloween crafts, visit the resource below.
