How to Design Your own car

In a world where many people strive for a custom look it is not surprising that some people would also like to have a custom car with an appearance that they have decided upon themselves. Many cars began as a drawing on someone's desk before the car became the metal and plastic that you drive around in today. By grabbing a piece of paper and several writing instruments, you can design your own car.

1. 

   Sketch the general shape of the car. Outline on paper the shape of the hood, the trunk, the bumper and the location of the tires. You may want a shorter hood and longer trunk space or the roof may be taller to enable more headroom for the taller side of the population. This is also the time to draw the slope of the windows as you design your own car.

2. 

   Add the windows, doors, bumpers and wheels to the car. Put the windows and doors anywhere you would like. You could even leave the doors off so that your custom car has to be entered through the windows. Include the design you would like your wheels to have.

3. 

   Color in your car. You can use colored pencils, crayons or markers. Use any color you would like to design your own car. Your car can be a typical red or blue or you can create a tie-dyed or striped car with a variety of colors. Color in your wheels as well. While the wheels can be the usual metal or plastic, you can also shade them any color you may like as well.

4. 

   Include graphics on your car. Graphics are an excellent way to create a car that is a one of a kind and is personal to you alone. Graphics can range from flames to flowers to whatever you can create. Paint a mural on your car if you would like. This is a way to take a car that looks much like any other and turn it into a distinctive work of art.

5. 

   Incorporate any details you would like when you design your own car. Add a steering wheel and seats through the windows of your car. Details such as a hood ornament can really make the car design your own. You could even add spoilers if you would like to the car. Do not forget the little details such as the door handles if you want to design even the little things.
