Whenever you're stuck, look around. Most of Lego Star Wars and its tips and objectives are right in front of you. Objects you need to grab, move or shoot tend to glow. Characters you need to talk to tend to stand around while all others are running. You can also see where potential chasms to kill your Jedi or hooks for your character's movement are located. Look around Lego Star Wars and the Force will be with you.

Learn your characters. Your Jedi have superior jumping ability while your non-Jedi are really good with guns. Droids are excellent at dealing with other machines but are terribly slow and can't climb. Wookies are all around fun, strong but a bit slow. Learn your playable characters and familiarize yourself with their powers and weapons for quick use.

Use your characters for the right time and place. Each character has specific skills for specific scenarios. Jedi can move objects and build Lego sets with their mind. Droids are a must for hacking certain doors and interfacing with other machines. Stormtroopers (or those wearing their helmets) can only gain access to certain parts of the Empire's inner chambers. Sith can move some objects the Jedi can't.

Build, destroy and use those Legos. Unbuilt Lego sets lay all over the game. Some are definitely useful for creating vehicles and access panels. Others just offer credits for upgrades. Some backgrounds need destroying by blaster or light saber to get them to offer up their Lego pieces for use.

Have fun! The most important part of Lego Star Wars is to have fun. The more fun you have the better you'll excel at moving through the game and replaying it later.
