There are many different ways to fold a bandana but the Girl Scouts wear them in a special way. Learn how to fold a bandana for your little Girl Scouts so you can help her learn how to do it herself.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

    Neckerchief

  1. Step 1

Lay out the bandana and join two opposite corners together. You should then have folded the bandana into a triangle shape.

  2. Step 2

With the bandana now in a triangle shape, place the fold at the base of your neck.

  3. Step 3

Take the two remaining corners of the bandana triangle and use them to tie a simple knot around your neck.

  4. Step 4

Turn the simple knot around to the base of your neck. The triangle point that was once pointing downward on your back should now point toward your chest when it sits on your neck.

  5. Hair Band

  6. Step 1

Pull together two bandana corners that are diagonally away from each other. You should now have a triangle shape.

  7. Step 2

Pull the bandana over your head with the two side corners away from you. The third triangle corner should be pointing away from your forehead and toward the nape of your neck.

  8. Step 3

Take the two sides in your hand and tie them under your hair so it lays flat on the nape of your neck. You now have a hair kerchief.

  9. Wristband

  10. Step 1

Take a bandana and fold it in half lengthwise.

  11. Step 2

Fold the bandana again in half and continue doing so until it is about 3 inches wide.

  12. Step 3

Take the ends of bandana and tie it around your wrist for a bandana wristband.
