How to Make a Body Pillow Case

If you love snuggling up with a big, comfy body pillow, but you don’t love the way your body pillow looks, consider making a decorative case. With a little basic sewing knowledge, you can make the perfect body pillow case to match your décor. Once you’re tired of the case, or if you switch design motifs, simply make a new one that will fit your new style.

Things You'll Need

• 2 1/2 yard desired fabric
• Sewing machine
• Body pillow
• Needle and thread

Instructions

1. Measure the length and width of your body pillow. Most body pillows are about 19 by 60 inches.

2. Choose a fabric. The best fabrics are soft enough to want to cuddle.

3. Fold your fabric in half, print side in.

4. Cut your fabric to size, leaving about an inch in all directions for the hem.

5. Use a sewing machine to sew a simple stitch in your desired color from the fold of your fabric along the two longest sides.

6. Cut off any excess along the edges.

7. Turn your fabric inside out to be sure if fits over your body pillow.

8. Sew the bottom of your pillow case closed by hand.
