How to Use Aromatherapy in a Cubicle
Work can be stressful, especially if you are sitting in a cubicle all day surrounded by mind-numbing paperwork and boring office supplies. Break up the monotony of a cubicle by adding aromatherapy items, such as scented candles or sachets, to relax your mind and offer rejuvenation. Facial mists also work great for hydrating the skin with the invigorating scent of eucalyptus or lemon. Aromatherapy works well in cubicles since it is subtle, so others around you do not have to be bothered with the scent.

1
Begin by removing any excess clutter from your cubicle and organizing anything that is remaining. The cleaner the area is, the more relaxing it can be to sit in.
-
2
Place an aromatherapy candle close to where you sit most often. A soy candle is one of the best options, since it is more fragrant and burns cleaner. They also burn longer than regular candles, which means you can save money on buying new candles continuously. Try to find scents such as lavender, sandalwood or lemon, depending on whether you want a relaxing or uplifting scent.

Fill each office drawer with an aromatherapy sachet. You can easily make your own by buying potpourri, dried sage or lavender and placing it inside sachets bags or you can purchase them already made from spas or retail stores. Place one in each drawer so that every time they are opened, a subtle scent will come out.

4
Spray the face or body with water-based aromatherapy sprays. These can offer a quick pick-me-up after a long day and they come infused with a variety of scents such as eucalyptus, lavender or lemon.
-
5
Plug in an aromatherapy air freshener to any outlet in the cubicle. Target carries a brand of environmentally friendly air fresheners through their Method brand, found in the air freshener aisle. Choose light scents like lemon, lavender, soft rain or ocean breeze.
