Tone your body. If you want to be a San Antonio Silver Spurs Dancer, you have to look good in the uniform. The dance team requires you to have a slim and athletic physique, in addition to a professional appearance.

Improve your dance skills. Spurs Silver Dancers should look both natural and graceful while dancing. Previous dance experience is not required, but it's definitely recommended. You will be judged both in hip-hop and jazz dance styles.

Know some cheerleading skills. In addition to dancing, Spurs Silver Dancers often tumble, lead pep rallies and cheer. Be prepared to demonstrate your Spurs' team spirit that goes beyond dancing.

Project professionalism. Spurs Silver Dancers are active members of the community. Know how to talk with ease and sound articulate. Feel comfortable in front of large crowds as well as one small ones. Understand how to conduct yourself during interview with the media. You will be interviewed as part of the Spurs Silver Dancer audition process.

Show your enthusiasm. Spurs Silver Dancers must be able to connect with and energize fans. Smile, make eye contact and project your energy to impress the judges.
Be a role model. Spurs Silver Dancers are positive influences within the San Antonio community.
Don't be disappointed if you don't make the team the first year. Only 16 women earn a spot. Many audition several times before they actually make the team.
