Instructions

    • 1

Remove mufflers. Usually the inlet and outlet of the muffler will be on different sides.

    • 2

Drive a sharpened rod into the inlet and outlet of the muffler. Do not drive all the way through the muffler. This will not remove the baffles, but it will put enough holes in them to have the same affect.

    • 3

Cut muffler in half with either a vertical or horizontal band saw if you want to remove baffles completely

    • 4

Break baffles out of each half and then braze muffler back together with a torch and brazing rods.

Tips & Warnings

  • To remove a muffler that is clamped on, remove the clamps. If it is the original muffler or it was welded on, you will have to cut it off with either a Saws-All or a portaband.
