    • Rubber gloves

Rinse out the bathtub. Rinse the entire surface with warm water. Gently scrub the surface of the tub with a sponge.

Prepare the bleach solution. In a tight and secure spray bottle, mix one part bleach with one part water. While mixing and cleaning, wear rubber gloves. That way, if the bleach spills, it won't hurt your hands. Once you have tightly secured the top of the bottle, mix the solution by shaking the bottle.

Spray the areas visibly affected by mold. Soak the affected areas really well. Once you have sprayed down the affected areas completely, leave the bleach to kill the mold spores for ten to fifteen minutes. Leave the bathroom door open, so the fumes from the bleach can dissipate.

Rinse and scrub. When you return to the bathroom, the mold will have most likely disappeared. If there is a little left, it won't be there for long. Rinse the areas that you doused with bleach with water thoroughly. Once they are rinsed, scrub the areas down with the abrasive sponge to remove any lingering mold. Rinse again and the mold should be completely gone.

Prevent further mold growth. This can be done by opening a window in the bathroom after you take a hot shower for fifteen minutes. If you don't have a window in your bathroom, open the door for fifteen minutes after your shower.
