Ribbon bows are adorable tied on the braids of a young girl. They are nice finishing touches on stuffed animals and dolls. You can decorate the stem of a goblet for a party or tie a bow on a dress. You can tie a scarf into a bow to dress up a plain blouse. A simple bow can be used in many different ways.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Cut a 6-inch piece of ribbon for a hair braid. A 20-inch piece will work for a stuffed animal.

  2. Step 2

Tie a knot in the center of the ribbon piece.

  3. Step 3

Pull the ribbon from the spool. Pinch the ribbon 2 to 3 inches from the end between your thumb and forefinger. Make a loop and pinch it. Twist the ribbon to make a second opposing loop. Pinch and hold the second loop.

  4. Step 4

Tie the knotted ribbon around the middle of the bow to secure it.

  5. Step 5

Cut the ends of the bow to a desired length. Tie the bow to a ponytail holder or items such as stuffed animals that need decoration.
