Things You'll Need:
- 4 Cup (or larger) Wide Mouth Jar with Lid
- 2 Cups of Baking Soda
- 1/8 Cup Liquid Castile Soap
- 25 drops lavender essential oil
- 15 drops tea tree essential oil
- 1 1/4 Cups Water
- 5 drops blue food coloring
- 10 drops red food coloring
- squeeze bottle or empty shampoo bottle
-
Step 1
Baking SodaOver a sink measure and place baking soda, castile soap and water into the jar. Baking soda is messy to measure. You can use any that falls into the sink to clean the sink when you are done. Place the lid on the jar and shake well.
-
Step 2
Essential OilRemove the lid and add the essential oil and the food coloring. Place the lid back on the jar and shake well again.
-
Step 3
Jar funnelUsing a funnel to pour the homemade bathroom cleaner into a squirt bottle, or used shampoo bottle.
-
Step 4
Natural Lavender Bathroom CleanerLabel the bottle. You can get creative when labeling homemade cleaning products and design your own personal label. After securing the label to the bottle, it is a good idea to cover it with packing tape to prevent it from getting wet when using.
-
Step 5
Shake well before using.

on 9/4/2008 I am saving your article on cleaning. After the near disaster we had last week mixing chemicals by accident - oops! Lavender is definitely the way to go now!
