Cleanse your face with your everyday facial cleanser.

Cut a lemon in half with a knife. Squeeze the juice from both lemon halves into a bowl.

Add 2 ounces of water to the lemon juice.

Dip a cotton ball into the juice and water solution.

Spread the lemon juice and water solution over your facial discolorations using the cotton ball. If you wish, you can spread the solution over your entire face (avoiding your eyes and mouth) for an overall lightening effect.

Allow to dry for at least 20 minutes.

Remove the solution from your face with a warm, wet washcloth. You also can leave the solution on to heighten its bleaching effects.

Do not apply the solution to your eyes and mouth.
The citric acid found in lemon juice may cause skin irritation when first applied. Do not continue use if you experience symptoms beyond a light stinging or tingling sensation.
