How to make a dog know the meaning of No.
You can stop a dog from barking, jumping on you, almost anything you want in 3 easy steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    If your dog is barking and you can't stop him.
    Tell him "NO" in a firm voice. If he doesn't
    listen and continues to bark go to step 2.

  2. Step 2

    Get a spray bottle. Fill it with water and 2 or 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Next time he barks say "NO" in a firm voice at the same time you spray him. Do not spray in his face.

  3. Step 3

    Next time you will only have to pick up the bottle and show it to him when he barks and he will stop immediately. He will learn very quickly what "NO" means.

Tips & Warnings
  • This is a quick and easy way for a dog to learn "NO".
  • Do not spray dog in the face. Lemon juice won't hurt the dog but it is best to spray him on his back.

on 8/29/2008 Good idea, I just wish this worked with cats - mine just laugh at the spray bottle LOL Will try this when I am petsitting my brother's dog, though :)
