Whiten your teeth naturally

Your teeth can give you a healthy smile that can go a long way in making a good first impression. Your smile also reveals aspects of your personality. That's why it's important to keep them looking as clean as possible. You brighten your smile by doing natural teeth whitening. Here are a few options to choose from.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Try adding sparkle to your smile using baking soda. This is a safe and effective way to whiten your teeth. You can put a few drops of water on your toothbrush and then sprinkle the baking soda onto your toothbrush or mix it with your toothpaste to give it a better taste. Then brush your teeth and rinse your mouth with water.

  2. Step 2

If you have some hydrogen peroxide handy, give that a try. Brush your teeth using your regular toothpaste. Then put a little hydrogen peroxide in your mouth and gargle for a few minutes and then spit it out. Your gums may burn a little but you'll be fine as long as you don't swallow it. You will see results in a few weeks. Another method is to dip a cotton swab into the hydrogen peroxide and then rub it on the front and back of your teeth. Rinse your mouth with water when you are finished.

  3. Step 3

Eat strawberries for whiter teeth. Strawberries contain acids that whiten the teeth and the seeds aid in the cleaning process. Rub the strawberries against your teeth. You'll have to brush your teeth right afterwards because strawberries contain sugar.

  4. Step 4

Eat firm fruits and vegetables as part of your natural teeth whitening routine. Foods such as apples, carrots and celery require a lot of chewing. As you dig your teeth into these foods, existing plaque and bacteria coating will be scraped off.

Tips & Warnings
  • Limit coffee and wine consumption because they can stain teeth. Tobacco can also cause discolorations.
  • Floss teeth to prevent dark discolorations between teeth.
