Is your washing machine broken? Are you too broke for a trip to the laundromat? Is your dryer working properly? Keep reading for a way to solve this problem while getting your exercise!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Laundry detergent
  • Bathtub
  • Dryer
  • Fabric softener
  • Dirty Clothes
  • Laundry basket
  1. Step 1

First, fill your bathtub with water. You decide the temperature depending on the clothes you are washing. You only need enough water to cover your clothes.

  2. Step 2

Add the laundry detergent all over the clothes. Scrub your clothes nice and clean!

  3. Step 3

Drain the water while turning on the water at the same time. Rinse the soap out of your clothes one at a time.

  4. Step 4

Wring your clothes out. The more water you wring out, the faster your clothes will dry, and the more exercise your arms get!

  5. Step 5

As you wring out your clothes, put them into the hamper. Bring them to the dryer, add fabric softener sheets, and dry your clothes!

Tips & Warnings
  • Washing what you wore each day helps lessen the amount you need to wash at a time. It is a hassle and is time consuming to hand wash an entire load of laundry. Washing a light article of clothing can take a couple minutes, and heavier items could take 5-8 minutes.
  • Taking the time to wring out your clothes, as unpleasant as it sounds, can be a very good thing. Your body gets a GREAT workout from doing this-talk about nice arm muscles :) and your clothes will dry much better in the dryer. Dripping clothes should NOT go in the dryer.
  • DO NOT combine whites and darks in the bathtub. Colors may still run!
