Things You'll Need:
- knife and fork
- good steak (t-bone or rib eye)
- lemon pepper
- onion powder
- chili powder
- garlic salt or powder
- BBQ pit
- steak knife and fork
-
Step 1
remove good steaks and set then on a plate.
take steak knife and fork and tenderize then by polking tons of holes and small cuts from knife on both sides of steaks. this will tenderize them and allow for even cooking. don't worry, it works, no complaints ( none while they eat them anyway). -
Step 2
once steaks are properly poked and murdered with knife and fork, it is time to add season.
onion powder= medium coating, garlic powder/salt lightly, chili pepper= light dusting, lemon pepper= medium coating. you only want a hint of garlic and chili powder. now do the other side. -
Step 3
steaks are ready, how about the BBQ pit. oh, you didn't turn it on? we will eat first, it is all timing.
with a moderate hot pit, put on the steaks, don't leave, give them about one minute and turn them over and wait another minute and turn over again. (forget what people say about leaving the there and only turn twice, they can show you burnt steaks that are not done). -
Step 4
after you have flipped the steaks several times, take your steak knife and polk through steaks in several areas. this will help the heat go into the meat and cook faster and more evenly. by now your green beans should be done and bake potatoes should be almost ready (with sour cream, of course).
-
Step 5
after flipping steaks about 15 times you should almost be ready. take the steak knife and cut a small slit in center of the steak and lets explore the center for done ness. this way you can get everyone's steak just right.
once done, enjoy the more natural flavors and skip the sauce!
