Instructions

    • 1

Make sure the silver bowl is clean and dry.

    • 2

Put on a pair of vinyl gloves.

    • 3

Apply a dab of silver polish paste to the cotton towel or washcloth. The exact amount of paste needed will vary depending on the size of the silver bowl you're polishing, but you'll want enough to cover the entire piece in a thin layer.

    • 4

Rub the bowl with the paste in circular motions. Cover the entire surface area, applying moderate pressure.

    • 5

Wash the silver polish paste off the bowl thoroughly but gently with warm, soapy water. Use a liquid, non-abrasive dish soap.

    • 6

Rinse the soap off the bowl under a light stream of warm water.

    • 7

Dry the bowl with another clean towel or washcloth. Use the same circular rubbing motion as you did when applying the silver polish paste.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check the label of the silver polish to make sure it's safe for use on all silver pieces.

  • Don't polish silver pieces that are deliberately given a tarnished, antique appearance.
