Step 1
Price.
Before you find the perfect spot, you will want to pick something in your price range. Nothing is more disappointing than finding the perfect spot and then realizing you can't afford it. -
Step 2
Land or the sea.
Think about if you want to go to an actual place or take a cruise. Some cruise packages even offer both. If you have wanted to go to Hawaii and take a cruise, there might be a package deal for both. -
Step 3
Weather.
What kind of weather are you looking for? If you are wanting something tropical, Colorado or Alaska is probably not the best spot for you. Think about what activities you would like to do and make sure the weather will allow it. -
Step 4
Activities.
Also think about what you are wanting to do and make sure your destination offers it. For example just because you have decided to visit a beach, does not mean everywhere in the area will offer scuba diving. Do your research and make sure what you want is in the area. -
Step 5
Time of the year.
Depending on the time of the year you might save money or have to spend even more. Keep that in mind and also any celebrations they may have during a certain month. You could map out your vacation during one of the holidays and experience a brand new culture.
