Things You'll Need:
- Free Time
- Internet access or a friend on the outside with internet access who is willing to help you.
- Imagination
- Patience
- Basic writing skills
-
Step 1
If you have internet access on a regular basis and have basic writing skills, then all your worries are over. If you don't have internet access then it will be a little bit more of a challenge because you will need someone who does have internet access to type your work for you and submit it online.
-
Step 2
Write reviews on anything you can think of, such as your favorite television programs, movies, foods, cars, motorcycles, tools, books, magazines, restaurants, pets, bars, sports arenas, athletic teams, and anything else you are familiar with.
-
Step 3
Submit the articles to web sites such as Helium.com, ReviewStream.com, AssociatedContent.com, eHow.com, and other similar sites. These sites pay money per article published, especially Helium.com and ReviewStream.com and it is very simple to become published on these sites. You don't have to be a professional writer, just willing to write and have basic writing skills. These sites not only pay up front for articles, but they will also pay a little here and there as more and more people read the articles.
-
Step 4
If you are able to write a few hundred articles, then you can actually gain a regular income, assuming that the articles are read by others online. People with a lot of time on their hands can make a lot of money that could eventually be very profitable with little effort.
-
Step 5
If you can't gain internet access at all, but are still willing to write, then you can focus on writing greeting cards, slogans or ideas for bumper stickers, children's novels, a book about your life, and so many other things that can easily be sold once you are out of prison. Just be sure to keep your articles or ideas in a safe place or mail them to a trusted friend on the outside who might have access to submit your ideas to publishers while you are still in prison.

on 8/27/2008 There are a few other ways to earn money while in prison as well. A jail industries program is one where the inmate learns a trade and earns money while in prison. Good ideas!
