How to Make a Cherry Cola Basting Sauce

Learn how to make an easy scrumptious basting sauce.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cherry Cola (not diet)
  • BBQ Sauce
  • Cherry Preserves
  • Rub
  • Teriyaki Marinade
  1. Step 1

    Marinate seafood, pork or chicken in your favorite teriyaki marinade for at least 1 hour or overnight. After marinating, remove from liquid, rinse and pat dry.

  2. Step 2

    Sprinkle seafood, pork or chicken liberally with your favorite dry rub and roast in the oven or grill until almost done. Meanwhile combine 2 cups of Cherry Cola,2 cups of BBQ Sauce(any)and 2/3 cup Cherry Preserves. Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of dry rub mix or dry teriyaki seasoning. Bring to a boil and let simmer until slightly thickened.

  3. Step 3

    Use as a basting sauce for ribs, chicken or seafood and save some as a dipping sauce to serve along side.

Tips & Warnings
  • Results cannot be guaranteed if sugar free preserves are used.
