Frogs are loved by children and anyone else who finds them cute and whimsical. There are even folks who collect frogs as adults. Frogs are relatively simplistic animals to draw and it doesn't take much to make a cartoon frog look cute.
Add pupils and irises. You can have the eyes looking in any direction that you choose.
3
Draw a horizontal oval directly below the eyes. Draw the upper portion of the face by drawing a top portion of a heart that surrounds the eyes.
4
Draw a smile in the center of the horizontal oval. Add two nostrils above the grin.
5
Draw a tongue that originates from the center of the smile and extends to the right, a half inch away from the frog's face.
6
Draw another circle directly below the frog's face.
7
Draw two half circles at the bottom left and right of the circle made in Step 6. In the center of the circle, draw two columns that extend down past the lower portion of the circle.
8
Add circles at the bottom of the columns and half circles that were drawn in Step 7.
9
Web the feet circles that were drawn in Step 8. Webbing is done by adding peaks (triangle points inside, no triangle base) inside the circles. Draw a neat shape underneath the frog for a lily pad.
10
Clean up your guidelines.
11
Ink and color your drawing.
Tips & Warnings
Frog photo references are useful when drawing a frog.
Do not draw the frog too realistically. Frogs are cuter when they have larger eyes and other features.
