How to Make a Great Coffee Smoothie

Instead of dumping out the unused coffee in your pot each morning, put it in ice cube trays and put it in the freezer. These cubes will allow you to make a great afternoon coffee smoothie. Not to mention, it's usually a lot cheaper than getting someone else to make it for you.

Things You'll Need

  • Tray of frozen coffee cubes
  • 1 cup of milk
  • sweetener
  • blender
  • First and most important is to brew a good, fresh pot of coffee. A press is my favorite way to brew. Immediately after brewing, pour coffee into an ice tray or Popsicle tray and place in the freezer. Add 8 to 10 frozen coffee cubes to the blender.

  • Pour in a cup of milk (whole, skim or whatever you desire).

  • Add your favorite sweetener to the blend (sugar, splenda, honey). A couple of tablespoons of sugar should be sufficient, but you may want to add to your taste.

  • For extra taste, you may want to add a couple of drops of vanilla extract or a couple of tablespoons of chocolate syrup. Be creative.

  • Finally, blend it all together for 1 to 2 minutes and serve. It's great topped with some whip cream as well!
