Save money on maternity clothes!
Save money on maternity clothes!

Here's a simple trick for turning your regular pants into maternity clothing.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • rubber band
  • pants with a button hole
  1. Step 1

    Put on your pants.

  2. Step 2

Take the rubber band and hook one end over the button or rivet (on jeans)

  3. Step 3

Thread the rubber band through the button hole and hook the other end over the button or rivet.

  4. Step 4

Voila! You have just added an elastic waistband to your favorite pants, turning them into maternity wear. As your waistline expands, you can use a longer band to give yourself more room.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wear a long t-shirt to cover the front of your pants.

on 1/25/2009 Wow I thought I was the only person to ever do this. My friends used to laugh but I didn't see any reason to wear things I didn't like just because I was pregnant. I will be using this method this time also. +5
