If you live in a small place, it's very easy to keep it clean and tidy with a simple routine.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • vacuum cleaner
  • dust cloth or Pledge wipes
  • vinegar/water
  • broom
  • mop
  • glass cleaner
Step1
Set aside a few hours one day a week to give home an overall cleaning. Saturday morning works best for me. I never leave home that day until my house is clean. How pleasant it is to come home after running errands to a clean house. Work on one room at a time till that room is complete. That makes it easier to move on to another room I always clean the kitchen first. I do the dishes, thoroughly wash down the counter tops, wipe out refrigerator if necessary, wipe off stove top. Next I sweep up the floor and shake out any rugs. Now mop the kitchen floor. I use vinegar and water to clean almost everything since it’s safer for the planet (and your family). Okay, kitchen is done. Move on to the bathroom
Step2
Here again I exercise caution and use vinegar and water to safeguard the planet.. Clean sink and counter top, the toilet and tub. If you are a shower person, wipe down the shower with the vinegar and water. It cuts the soap scum. Next I mop the floor, put out clean towels if necessary. Use Windex to shine the mirrow. Shake out the rug and put it
Step3
Make your bed (now is a good time to change the sheets). Dust the furniture, hang any clothes that are laying around, put shoes in the closet in their proper place, run the sweeper and you’re done in that room If you have other bedrooms, move on to them next.
Step4
I leave the living room till last. I thoroughly dust everything. I use the Pledge wipes. Put away anything that was left in the living room that doesn’t belong there such as dishes or shoes, etc. Then I run the sweeper and shake out the rugs.
Step5
You’re done. Your house is clean and you can go about your day. Some of my little housekeeping secrets are: I do a certain amount of cleaning each day, especially kitchen and bath. I run the sweeper a couple times a week. I always put everything back in it’s place when I’m done with it so I don’t have things laying around to clutter up the look. You can have your home “company fresh” all the time by putting in a small amount of time each day and doing the heavier cleaning on Saturday.Doesn’t it make you feel happier to live in a clean home?

Tips & Warnings

  • Cleaning supplies can be kept in bucket under sink.
  • Keep cleaning supplies out of reach of children.
