How to Make My Favorite Brownies

Forget the boxed brownie mix. It may be quicker, but this recipe is truly worth the extra effort.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 1 teas. vanilla
  • 3/4 teas. salt
  • 1 teas.baking powder
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  1. Step 1

    In bowl, add the flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, cocoa and mix well with spoon.

  2. Step 2

    Add the eggs, oil and vanilla and stir until well blended.

  3. Step 3

    Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.

  4. Step 4

    Coat a 9x11 pan with cooking spray. Pour the batter into the pan.

  5. Step 5

    Bake in a pre heated oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Brownies should be moist and not over baked.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a stone pan for an even baking.
  • Pecans or walnuts may be used.
  • Add chunks of chocolate to the batter.

on 8/25/2008 I can eat anything with chocolate in it! I am almost convinced I could eat liver if it were smothered in chocolate! Okay, maybe not! I would just lick the chocolate off of it. Thanks for sharing!
