How to Get Rid of Ink Stains in Plastic

Ball point pen marks on plastics can be frustrating but they can be easily removed.The key is to clean them as soon as possible

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• acetone
• Rubbing alcohol

1. 
   Ball point pen

   The key is to get to take care of stains as soon as you can get to it. ball point pen marks can get into plastic and tend to smudge with time

2. 
   Acetone

   Take a piece of tissue and dab acetone on it (which is the common nail polish remover) and rub the plastic area that has the mark. Be sure not to spread the mark around use a fresh piece of tissue or cotton with acetone on it

3. 
   Alcohol

   If this does not work try another solvent like rubbing alcohol

4. 
   Plastics

   Now your plastic will be totally restored from the stain!

Tips & Warnings

• Be sure to test an area of plastic with the acetone or alcohol to ensure that they don't discolor your plastic
• the mentioned solvents can strip your skin of moisture so use gloves if necessary
