Step 1
To get a salon-style pedicure start by removing any nail polish. Soak your feet in a warm bath for about 10 minutes. For extra pampering you can also use bath salts or foot soaks added to the water. Use a pumice stone or metal file to remove all of the dead rough skin. This takes some time but it is key to great looking tootsies!

Step 2
Clip nails strait across the edge, but not to short. the edge of the nail should meet the edge of the toe. File the edges strait across. For a true salon pedicure look, the edges should not be rounded.

Step 3
Next it's time for the nail block to prep the surface on the nails. This can be found at any beauty supply store. Use a circular buffing motion on each nail first remove the ridges, then buff, then shine. The sides of the nail block are usually labeled or numbered, filing being number one, ridge removing being number two, buffing being three, and shining being number four. This can again, be time consuming but it's essential!
