When I was young during Christmas time my mom would also make us these hot pancake balls made from sctratch.Let me tell you, you would enjoy it during the holiday. You actually can make it anytime.
Put a hot deep pot with oil on the stove while you prep for the pancake ball mix.
Step2
Okay, you take a bowl and add 1 1/4 of a cup of all purpose flour.
Step3
2 3/4 of teaspoon of baking powder.
Step4
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Step5
31/2 teaspoons of sugar and mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
Step6
Next, will be the liquid ingredients. 1 cup of milk into the dry ingredients, and butter into the mix also. Mix all the ingredients together until you get a pancake creamy consistency.
Step7
Then the pan that is on the stove with oil. You grab a spoon and scoop pancake mixture on to the spoon and place into to hot oil. By slowly letting the pancake mix drop slowly into the deep pan. Reminder: Make sure the oil is hot. And never get to close to oil please.
Step8
Now, you would do at least 5 or six small balls, depends on how small or large the deep pot. Know, when you place the pancake mix into the oil. It will descend down to the bottom of pot and when it is done. It will float to the top and the pancake balls are down.
Step9
Slowly take out of pot and on to a plate with napkin and let it sit for a little bit to drain the oil and to cool down, and repeat if needed.
Step10
And you can eat them with milk, jelly, honey, or just by themselves. Enjoy!
Tips & Warnings
Eat with jelly, honey, or just by themselves, or eat with milk.

There is an infomercial that plays every hour right now advertising a contraption in which you cna make these. It's so interesting to realize that you don't have to shell out 29.99 or whatever the price is to have a nice homemade treat.
