Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Various Hello Kitty media
- A lot of spare time and/or resources
-
Step 1
Get to truly know Hello Kitty. She's in calendars, jewelry, and various clothing lines, yet most Hello Kitty fans don't even know why she doesn't have a mouth. (She speaks from the heart; she is Sanrio's ambassador and isn't bound to any particular language.) Find out basic profile information abut Hello Kitty. (Her real name is Kitty White.) A great and humorous blog to check out is kittyhell.com. The owner is a poor husband dealing with a Hello Kitty obsessed-wife! The website lists various unusual and obscure Hello Kitty products, such as the Hello Kitty massager and the Hello Kitty AK-47. However, do not ask where to get the products, because he himself is anti-kitty, although many Hello Kitty fans frequent his blog.
-
Step 2
Be able to draw Hello Kitty accurately. She has an oval-ish head, softly-pointed ears, (especially the later Hello Kitty designs) a (usually) yellow oval nose, and three whiskers on each side of her face. She normally is not seen without a mouth, although she does have one for her TV series. She usually has a bow on her left ear (your right), but sometimes the bow is changed to a more decorated bow (like a musical note design) or replaced with another item such as a flower to coordinate with her outfits more. You can also show appreciation by designing outfits and "looks" for Hello Kitty. (Emo-Kitty. 1950's Retro Kitty, South Park Kitty, Rasta Kitty, etc.)
-
Step 3
Play Hello Kitty games. Hello Kitty has quite a few games as well. Many of them are dedicated to a younger generation, but are also fun for people of all ages. There also is a Hello Kitty MMORPG. (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). Hello Kitty Online allows players to create their own characters and customize them, do things like mine ore and pick fruit, fight monsters, farm, cook, tailor, make furniture, build and decorate their own houses, own pets, and spend your Hello Kitty dollars.
-
Step 4
Make your life more Hello Kitty. Take up baking, Hello Kitty's favorite hobby. Bake a cake for her birthday November 1st. Try taking up an instrument (Hello Kitty loves music) or travel somewhere new. Hello Kitty loves being helpful and making new friends. Delve into the more Hello-Kittified you. You can even get a Hello Kitty outfit for Halloween, although try not to get an outfit that consists of overalls and a mask. It's not unique and it's hardly cute like Hello Kitty. Find your inner Hello Kitty to thrive on.
-
Step 5
Charmmy KittyKnow Hello Kitty's friends. Most people don't know Hello Kitty has a twin sister by the name of Mimmy. Mimmy usually wears blue and yellow overalls and has a yellow bow on her left ear. (Actually, it's HER right, but it is YOUR left in pictures of her.) She also owns an adorable long-haired Persian cat named Charmmy Kitty. Other Sanrio characters are important to learn as well, because they often appear together in various Sanrio media. Some of the most popular non-Hello Kitty related characters are Kerropi, Batz-Maru, and Kuromi.)
-
Step 6
Obviously, you should purchase various Hello Kitty related-products. That's usually where the obsession starts initially for many people. You can go for the more common items that are Hello Kitty (makeup and stationary, for instance.) The more adventurous fans go for the obscure Hello Kitty-related items such as urinal cakes and wedding rings.) If you do not have a whole lot of money to spend, however, you can still spread the love of Hello Kitty! T-shirt iron-ons are wonderful as well as stickers and other Hello Kitty crafts you can make yourself. You can decorate a room in Hello Kitty decor too.
-
Step 7
Lastly, be ready to defend yourself against bored or ignorant people. Many people don't seem to care that Hello Kitty is a better role model for young girls than sleazy-looking shallow Bratz dolls.
