Have you ever admired the perfect circle around a tree and wondered how you could duplicate one at home?
Here are some tips to creating your own, and creating a focal point around your favorite tree.
Things You'll Need
- A tree, of course
- A rope
- A shovel
- Rocks, bricks, mulch or stones if desired
Select your tree, and gather your rope and shovel. Huge trees may not lend themselves as well to this project, nor ones that are just being to sprout.
Tie the shovel loosely to the tree leaving approximately a foot or more span of distance between the shovel and the tree.
Keeping the rope taut and shovel upright work around the soil at the base of the tree creating your circle.
Once your circle has been formed you can continue digging the circle up to the base of the tree. Place down newspaper and cover with mulch. Now you can place rocks or bricks in a pattern around the edge if desired. Congratulations and admire your handiwork.
