Step 1
Candles are a great choice for those folks who are hard to buy for. They can be found individually (for a personal flare) or in sets.
-
Step 2
Homemade cookies are another great gift. If you can't do cookies, popcorn balls, fudge and other deserts are great choices. Unless your gift receiver is extremely picky, this is a wonderful choice.
-
Step 3
Box of chocolates is another food item that you can purchase that can be low cost and high appreciation.
-
Step 4
A handwritten note of appreciation sounds simple, but it is the most genuine gift you can give someone. Your thoughts and kindness directed to someone you greatly appreciate.
-
Step 5
Plants are another wonderful, inexpensive gift that can be found at most stores. From a cactus to a fern, the gift receiver can remember you for months to come when they water their new friend.

on 11/12/2008 Too long winded (!) - so here's the rest (i hope!)
I found one place to get EVERYTHING I NEEDED (for the ADULTS also), and thus cut way down on the online shipping charges as well. The kids have iPods, so download gifts worked out REALLY well. I shopped on this site that has GIFT CARDS delivered via email for downloads --- you can't go wrong with music (after all, its not like you can buy the wrong size!)...
The site is www.kosmicmusic.com
They have kids stuff for all ages (Learning words for Nephew, Nursery Rhymes for Niece), World music (my mom loves world music!), Inspirational (Tony Robbins for my brother), Music for Yoga & Lisbeth Scott (Sister-in-Law Xmas & Bday!), Electronica (teenage niece), etc.
I felt like I hit the LOTTO when I found this site. And the prices are REALLY REASONABLE for all that you get. I got 15 gifts for under $100 INCLUDING shipping!

on 11/12/2008 I'm already done with all my many birthday and holiday gift requirements and its only November! YEAH!!! I found one site last year, where I buy EVERYTHING for EVERYONE!
I am the only single one in my family, and live across the country from all my nieces and nephews who celebrate BOTH Christmas and Hanukkah, plus all 5 nieces/nephews have birthdays in November and December! And then there are the ADULT gifts also - with a sister-in-law and Brother born in NOVEMBER!!!! OMG is all I can say...
After many years of shopping for 15 separate occasions (5 birthdays, 5 Christmas, 5 Hanukkah) finding boxes to ship stuff in, wrapping everything, packing everything, waiting in line at the post office like 5 times - WELL TALK ABOUT EXHAUSTING AND TIME CONSUMING!!! For the first time last year, I bought everything on line and DE STRESSED the Whole situation!!!
I found one place to get EV
