Learn how to make money by having a garage sale.

Things You'll Need:

  • Items you no longer need.
  • Signs
  • Punch and cookies (Optional but helpful)
  1. Step 1

    Some subdivision require written notice before you have a garage sale so be sure to ask before you go through the trouble of gathering you belongings. Set a date and time.

  2. Step 2

    Make signs and post them at visible locations near and around your neighborhood, word of mouth always helps. Signs can be store bought at any dollar store or simply made out of a cardboard box. Make t
    Gather everything you no longer need or use. Ask family members to help you by donating their stuff.
    Place a price tag on the items. Make sure not to price items too high. Walmart has stickers with different price amounts OR you can save some money and write the price on a piece of masking tape.

  3. Step 3

    The day of the garage sale make sure to wake up extra early to set everything in a manner that lets people walk around freely.
    You don't need lots of extra change, but, it's a good idea to have some in hand.

    The trick that i use is that i buy a gallon or fruit punch and some very inexpensive cookies so that people can help themselves. People are more likely to stay longer if they have something to sip and
