Step 1

This easiest way with homp a/c units to decreas bypass, is using tape. Around the borders of your filter, air is constently passing through collecting on the coil of your a/c.
Step 2

You want to put foil tape that you can find at Home Depot or any other home improvement store. Place the tape around the borders of the filter. Forcing the air to move through the filter.
Step 3

When placing the tape around the borders of your filter, you are allowing the filter to do what it does best. Clean your air, and help protect the coil of your a/c. The coil is a very important part of your a/c that needs to stay clean. The cleaner it is, the better your a/c will work, and better your energy bill will be.
