this tells in easy steps how to hit backhand

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1. tennis racquet
  • 2. tennis ball
  1. Step 1

    1. first stand parallel to the baseline

  2. Step 2

    2. now move your front foot forward and keep it parallel to the baseline

  3. Step 3

    3. keep your back foot parallel to the baseline as well. now you are in proper backhand position

  4. Step 4

    4. now move the racket as far as you can as shown in the first picture

  5. Step 5

    5. now bring the racket from top to down as shown in the second picture with force

  6. Step 6

    6. from this position raise the racket to position in picture 3. this is when you strike the ball

  7. Step 7

    7. after striking the ball make sure that when you follow through your arm is straight as shown in the 5th image

  8. Step 8

    8. follow through as high as possible as shown in the last image

Tips & Warnings
  • make sure when you strike the ball the racket is almost parallel to the net. if the racket is facing downwards the ball will hit the net and if it is facing upwards the ball might go out of the court.
  • when you follow through make sure you dont hit the racket to the back of your head. I know this sounds silly but sometimes it happens.
