There are many ingredients in this bread that will add valuable nutrition to your diet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 cups warm water
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup soy flour
  • 3/4 cup skim-milk powder
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  1. Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the water, yeast, and honey.

    Let stand for five minutes.

In another bowl, mix together the two flours, wheat germ, soy flour and skim-milk powder.

  2. Step 2

Stir the salt and 3 cups of the flour mixture into the yeast mixture.

    Beat 100 strokes.

Add the olive oil and 3 more cups of the flour mixture.

    Blend well.

  3. Step 3

Roll up dough and place it on a floured surface.

Knead, adding more flour mixture as needed. Knead until dough is elastic and seems to push back against your hands.

Place in an oiled bowl. Brush top with more oil. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk.

  4. Step 4

Punch down in bowl. Turn over, cover, and let rest for another 20 minutes.

Form your dough into two loaves and place in buttered pans.

Let rise in warm place until doubled.

    Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  5. Step 5

Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until the loaf sounds hollow when you rap on the crust.

    Cool on racks. Enjoy!
