Tips to Naturally Whiten Gray Hair

There are many shampoos on the market for silver/white hair. Actually these products do work. The downside is the overuse of the products will cause the hair to have a purplish or bluish tint. Many people want a natural alternative to whitening or adding shimmer and shine to their silver/white hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Mix the baking soda and vinegar into a paste and apply the mixture to your hair. The amount you mix will be determined by the length and thickness of your hair.

  2. Step 2

Sit up under the dryer for 15 minutes. The heat will open up the cuticles of the hair shaft and allow for absorption. If you do not have a dryer, a heating cap or regular plastic cap can be used.

  3. Step 3

Rinse the baking soda/vinegar mixture from your hair and apply a light cream conditioner. Follow the instructions on the package.

  4. Step 4

Rinse your hair with cool water. Style as usual.

  5. Step 5

To add sheen to your hair, apply a few drops of almond oil.

  6. Step 6

This can be done at least once a week.

Tips & Warnings
